Masterclass blockprinten

Report Crafts Council Nederland on the weekend.

Sat. 17 and su. 18 March 2018 Nathalie Cassée of Kashmir Heritage will teach a masterclass blockprinten on invitation of the Crafts Council Nederland in the Zuiderzeemuseum at the occasion of the exhibition ‘Ambacht in Dracht’.

Gudari quilt jassen – 1 september 2016

Vintage gudari dekens uit India zijn heerlijk om te hergebruiken om er stijlvolle en unieke jassen van te maken. Kashmir Heritage nodigde enkele ontwerpers uit om uit een selectie van deze quilts unieke jassen te maken. Tot nu toe hebben zich aangesloten Ine Keitz en Annelies de Ridder (kostuumontwerpers) en Margreet Gerbens en Ann Godvliet (kledingontwerpers). Ieder van hen maakt minimaal twee unieke jassen.

Op vrijdagavond 25 november 2016 presenteren we de jassen in de mooie Middeleeuwse Gasthuiskerk in Doesburg. Wilt u bij de presentatie aanwezig zijn? U kunt nu alvast uw kaartjes bestellen a 20 euro per persoon. Daarvoor krijgt u toegang tot de presentatie, een eerste keuze uit de unieke jassen, muzikale omlijsting en een hapje en een drankje. Als uw jas of maat er niet bij zit, kunnen we voor u een unieke jas in uw maat maken. Meldt u nu aan viainfo@kashmirheritage.nl

Vintage gudari blankets from India are great to re-use to make jackets out of them. Kashmir Heritage invited a few designers to make unique pieces from a selection of quilts. Until now Ine Keitz and Annelies de Ridder (costume designers) and Margreet van Erven en Ann Godvliet (clothing designers) are participating. Each of them making at least two jackets.

Friday evening 25th of November 2016 we will present the outcome of the unique jackets in the medieval Gasthuiskerk in Doesburg (NL). If you want to attend you can already pre-book your tickets for 20 euro per person. For that you will get entrance to the presentation, first choice  from the unique jackets, musical background and a drink/snack. Kashmir Heritage heeft de primeur in Nederland om de eerste reproductie van een 18e Eeuwse sits te laten maken in India.
Uitgestorven, maar nu op zeer kleine schaal weer wederopgenomen, handgeschilderd met natuurlijke verfstoffen, met gebruik van uitsparingstechnieken.

Kashmir Heritage has the scoop in The Netherlands (EU) to have the first reproduction made of an Eighteenth century chintz in India.
An extinct craft, now revived on small scale, handpainted with natural dyes using resist dye techniques.
